Alice I. Ross

    Alice I. (Hirschy) Ross, 79, rural Adams County, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
    She was a homemaker and worked at Peter Eckrich for more than 20 years. She also worked at Ararmak Vending and was currently a greeter at the Apple Glen Wal-mart. She attended First Assembly Church, Fort Wayne.
    She is survived by three brothers, James (Karen) Hirschy, Woodburn, Walter (Virginia) Hirschy, Willshire, Ohio and Larry (Sandy) Hirschy, Convoy, Ohio; three sisters, Barbara Sheets and Patricia (Ken) Hawkins, both of Decatur and Katherine (Don) Colter, Paulding, Ohio; and a special companion, Don Schmutte, Fort Wayne.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Esther Hirschy; husband, Merlin J. Ross; and a brother, Robert Hirschy.
    Private services were held. Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
    Arrangements were handled by McComb and Sons Funeral Home.
