Adams County schools announce registration schedules
Following is registration information for Adams County's three public school systems plus St. Joseph Catholic School in Decatur.
Officials have announced the following dates and times:
Southeast Primary and Northwest Elementary: Monday, August 6, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-7 p.m.
Bellmont Middle School: Monday, August 6, 4-7 p.m., and Tuesday, August 7, 1-4 p.m.
Bellmont High School: Tuesday, August 7, seniors 8-10 a.m.; juniors, 10 a.m.-noon; sophomores, 1-3 p.m.; freshmen, 3-5 p.m.
A student/parent meeting will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the Erekson Memorial Theatre.
Registration on Thursday, August 2, 2012.
Elementary from noon to 7 p.m. in the elementary gym.
High school and middle school registration from 2 to 7 p.m. in the cafetorium. Enter through door W-3 or door N-5.
South Adams students in grades K-12 will have registration from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 6. Registration will continue on Tuesday, August 7, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Registration for all students will take place in the South Adams cafeteria, and will include completing enrollment forms for the student and paying the book rental fees. Students will also receive the student handbook and free lunch/textbook assistance forms at that time.
Parents of kindergarten students are to turn in all medical forms during registration. Middle school and high school students will receive their class schedules and locker combinations. All-sports passes will also be sold.
The first day of school is Tuesday, August 14.
St. Joseph Catholic School in Decatur will hold registration for the 2012-13 school year from 9 a.m.-noon and 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7.
Families who are new to the school may also register on Tuesday, August 7, from 4:30-6 p.m.
All families are required to attend registration, a news release said. The $10 HASA dues will be collected at that time.
Parents are asked to return their child's green information card. Information packets will be given out at registration. Class lists are posted and the St. Joe book store will be open.
Volunteer signup sheets will be available, as will 2011-12 yearbooks, and St. Joe Pridewear will be on sale.
