Adams Central taps native of Indiana

April 10, 2013

When Adams Central Superintendent Mike Pettibone announced his retirement at the end of this school year in January, thoughts immediately turned to finding a replacement for the well-liked leader of AC. Members of the Board of Education announced Tuesday evening they feel they've done just that, naming Lori Richmond as the new superintendent.
Richmond is a lifelong Indiana resident, excepting her husband's military career, and is originally from Lake County. She has a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in educational leadership, both from Indiana University. She then went on to receive a specialist superintendent rating from Indiana State University, and completed her college education with a PhD in educational leadership, administration and foundations.
With more than 25 years experience in public, private and Christian education, Richmond served as a teacher from 1986-2002. During her time as a teacher, and continuing afterward, she has held the positions of director, principal, administrator and senior administrator, assistant superintendent, superintendent, and National Education Director.
