Adams Central construction said only three days behind

May 13, 2011

The Adams Central school board authorized paying a $1,007,102.83 check for the school's construction and renovation project at the May meeting of the board, then heard a progress report from Barry Ehinger, the overseer of the work.
The money goes to Weigand Construction of Fort Wayne, prime contractor for the design-build project.
Ehinger said concrete will be poured late next week for the foundation at the southeast corner of the building, then structural steel will arrive in late May. Piping and plumbing is installed and a great deal of earth has been moved, he said, with four vehicles often in operation at the same time.
Ehinger stated that the construction timeline is only three days behind schedule despite a wet spring because of weekend work that has been done to catch up.
He also said renovation and remodeling in rooms inside the school is progressing at a rapid rate.
