ACAC names girls' conference list

The Allen County Athletic Conference released their list of all-conference selections from the 2012-13 girls basketball season.
It was a four-team race atop the standings this season with Garrett and Leo sharing the ACAC title during the regular season at 6-1 apiece including tournament play. Southern Wells and Woodlan shared third place honors with a 5-2 mark, while Heritage played to a 3-4 record, Adams Central finished at 2-5, South Adams went 1-6, and Bluffton sat in the basement with an 0-7 mark.
Senior Bess Fiechter was the lone member of the Lady Jets to make first-team honors, while South Adams' Alyssa Bluhm was placed on the list as well.
Making second-team for AC was junior Briona Case who ended as the Jets' leading scorer despite not starting until mid-way through the season. For South Adams, Dzejna Ahmetovic was named on the second-team list. The junior was having a solid season at center before she injured her knee ending her season.
Garrett and Leo earned three spots each on the first-team, while Woodlan and Southern Wells had two girls placed on the list apiece. Heritage and Bluffton placed just one team member on the first-team.
The second-team consisted of one member each from Garrett, Leo, and Bluffton with Woodlan, Southern Wells, and Heritage snagging two members each.
The conference's coach of the year was not listed.
