In a preseason interview, AC coach Patty Sauer predicted several school records could fall this year for the Jets and that came true for the second straight match for the Jets as the boys 400 freestyle relay team of Ellison Kaehr, Eli Stoller, Brey Reidenbach, and Gavin Kaehr set a new record of 3:42.57, nearly an entire minute better than the second place Coldwater team.
Gavin Kaehr had set new records earlier in the week in a pair of individual events for the Jets.
The Adams Central girls team took eight of 12 events. Other individual winners were Chelsea Emenhiser in the 500 freestyle in 7:36.74 and Whittney Landis in the 100 breaststroke with a finish of 1:18.68. The Jets also won two of three relays with the 200 medley relay team of Kauffman, Landis, McClain, and Kelsey Prichard going out in 2:12.42 while the 400 freestyle relay squad of Cassidy Emenhiser, Prichard, Jamie Swales, and Chelsea Emenhiser took first at 5:05.78.
