AC netters defeat Norwell

MONROE—Alyssa Keller recorded a double-double with 13 digs and 22 assists Monday night to help pace the Adams Central varsity volleyball team to a three-game sweep of Norwell.

The Jets won the even 25-14, 25-22, 25-18 to improve to 9-7 on the season. AC also won the reserve match by a 25-18, 25-16 count and now own a strong 16-5 slate for play this year.
Keller added three kills and aces to her stat sheet while Chelsie Eads led the team in kills with seven and also had three digs. Bess Fiechter contributed 11 digs, two aces and six kills to the AC cause while Whittney Peterson had two assisted blocks and digs and three kills, Haley Gross finished with five kills and one assisted block and dig, Abbey Lichtle totaled four kills and digs, two aces, and one solo and assisted block, Abby Snyder had three digs, Liz Luginbill tallied two digs and aces and one assist, and Alexa Baller scooped up 10 digs.
Madi Schwartz directed the JV offense for Adams Central by handing out 23 assists to go with three aces and digs, and one kill. Jenny Schultz had seven kills and two digs, Jen Kahlert ended up with four kills, Kaitlin Carroll scored nine digs, five kills, and one ace and assist, Sam Fisher saved five digs, Kelsey Pritchard had five kills, Meghan Manley had four kills, two digs and an assist, Jayla Byer had one dig and ace, and Kaitlyn Johnson finished with a kill and dig.
The Jets return to ACAC action tonight against a tough Leo team at the Leo gym. The junior varsity game will begin at 6 p.m.
