The Adams Central High School band band is now one of the top 20 Class D bands in the state, having received a “Gold” rating and placing in the top 10 bands (out of 18) in last weekend’s Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Class D Regional competition.
The stakes are even higher this Saturday during the Semi-State contest at Franklin Community High School, near Greenwood.
The Squadron of Sound will be going head-to-head against those 19 other  Class D bands and the judges will select only 10 of them to advance to the State ISSMA finals on October 29.
The Squadron of Sound will take the field at 4:15 p.m. to perform its award-winning show, “In Search of Liberty.”
