AC athletes required to buy passes

    All Adams Central High School and Middle School athletes are required to purchase a $25 all-sport pass for admission to all high school and middle school athletic events. It will not be good for tournaments.
    This pass must be purchased prior to a student participating in the first sporting event. Funds from the required passes will be go toward funding athletic expenses.
    Students may also purchase an all-sport pass for $25. Elementary students will pay $20 for an all-sport pass. Adults will pay $42.
    Adams Central Athletic Director Rick Minnich noted that theses prices remain the same as a year ago.
    Single-ticket admission to a varsity athletic event will be $5. For all junior varsity, freshmen and middle school events, admission will be $3 at the gate.
    The all-sport passes will go on sale at the Adams Central Athletic Office on the following dates: Aug. 4, during registration, 2 to 7 p.m.; Aug. 12, during the varsity football scrimmage with Eastside; daily, beginning Aug. 15, at the Athletic Office, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Aug. 18, at the first home varsity volleyball match; and Sept. 2, at the home varsity football game vs. Leo.

County women bowlers to organize
    The Adams County Women's Bowling Association will conduct at organizational meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at the Brickhouse Restaurant in Monroe at 6:30 p.m.
    All interested women bowlers are invited to attend. Secretarial supplies will be handed out.

Susan Komen Golf Tourney slated
    The annual Susan G. Komen Rally for the Cure Women's Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start at the Cross Creek Golf Club.
    The format will be an 18-hold Florida Scramble with a $20 entry fee.  Green fees and cart fees are not included.
    All proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure to fight breast cancer.
    Participants may make up their own foursomes. Registration deadline is Wednesday, Aug. 10.
