Several changes will be taking place at Adams Central over the next year with four more teachers announcing their intention to retire at the end of the 2012-13 school year, accepting the one-time $15,000 retirement incentive package approved by the board of education last month.
The incentive offered qualifying teachers a $15,000 payout that would be placed in a 403(b) account and made available to the retiree as of July 15, 2013. The regular severance package offered to teachers is still immediately available.
Announcing their intensions to retire, and receiving the full $15,000 incentive, were Title 1 teachers Barb Minnich and Judy Minger, fourth grade teacher Marcia Miller, and high school math teacher Alan Arnold. Longtime teacher and Athletic Director Rick Minnich, who announced his retirement in February, will receive $8,076 based solely on his years as a teacher.
