2017 Adams County 5K Run/Walk Challenge continues

    The 2017 Adams County 5K Run/Walk Challenge offers participants an opportunity to participate in a total of 12 races within Adams County. Participants must complete a minimum of eight of the 12 events to qualify for the series. Runners and walkers will receive seven points for their participation in each of the events as well as points based upon their finish in one of eight age groups. The challenge awards will be presented following the post-race festivities during the final race at Rainbow Lake on Nov. 25. The first 50 adult participants to register for the series challenge will receive a participant gift at the Rainbow Lake 5K.
    Registration forms are available on the Adams County 5K Run/Walk Challenge website at www.adamscounty5kchallenge.com. The series fee covers registration to all events. Runners entering the challenge will automatically be pre-registered for all races in the series schedule. The cost to register for the series is $160 with a t-shirt at each race, and $120 without a shirt. Participants who sign up for the series with a shirt will save $80, while those who choose the no shirt option will save $120 off the full price of all 12 races. Students age 18 and younger may register for the series for $120 with a t-shirt for each race, and $80 without a shirt.     Participation is open to anyone wanting to compete and is not limited to residents living in Adams County. The challenge is limited to the first 100 entries. Runners/walkers who do not pre-register for the series may still participate by signing up for individual events but will not receive the series discount. Individual event registration forms and information may also be found the Adams County 5K Run/Walk Challenge website.
