OSSIAN—Bellmont "set the tone" early Tuesday night in their varsity volleyball match with Norwell according to coach Craig Krull and thus a quick three-set match fell into the Squaws' win column by scores of 25-16, 25-16, and 25-11.
KINGSLAND— It took four sets for Adams Central to find their groove on a sluggish, Monday night volleyball contest, but in set five the Lady Jets dominated Norwell on the road to earn a big non-conference victory 25-20, 25-22, 24-26, 24-26, 15-4.
"It was definitely a Monday game," said AC coach Ashley Beard. "We came out flat and did not play very well tonight."
FORT WAYNE—As she has been getting accustomed to, Bellmont's Bailey Beery led a parade of 171 runners to the finish line of the AA Division of the New Haven Girls Cross Country Invitational Saturday and successfully defended her individual title with a time of 18:24.58.
A week after nearly toppling Homestead, Bellmont is rewarded with a visit from the second-largest team in the NHC, Carroll. The Chargers hope to spoil Bellmont's Homecoming game starting at kick-off at 7 p.m. The DDD pregame show will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m.

FORT WAYNE— Despite taking a dramatic first set over the #6 Carroll Chargers on the road, Bellmont suffered a tough conference loss giving up the next three sets falling in four 25-21, 18-25, 19-25, 31-33.
Tonight Squaws volleyball travels to Carroll for what could be the most important NHC match-up of the season against the perennially challenging Chargers. The JV contest will kick off the night around 6 p.m. with the varsity contest about half an hour after.

After three weeks of Pigskin Picks, Virginia Haugk sits atop the overall standings at 67 points thanks to a 23-point boost this week. The week three winner was Todd McGill as he correctly guessed the tie-breaker score of 46* points between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos. He was also the only entry to miss only one game this week.
CHURUBUSCO— The Eagles were no match for Adams Central tennis as the Jets completed a 5-0 sweep of Churubusco on Tuesday night.
The closest match of the night belonged to one doubles where Ben Kahlert and Zach Green went to three sets against Landon and Luke Lillmars 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2. Kahlert's normal doubles partner, Jared Lehman, sat out Tuesday night.
