Columbia City @ Bellmont, softball CANCELED

         Due to technical difficulties, tonight's broadcast between Columbia City and Bellmont has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience. 

        The next broadcast for Bellmont will be Thursday, April 25 when the Squaws host North Side. As of right now that game will be on as scheduled. 

Squaws take second only to Warsaw at Turtle Town

    CHURUBUSCO—The Bellmont girls track team won the war of blue ribbons Saturday at the Turtle Town Invitational but lost the points battle in finishing second to Warsaw in the Gold Division (larger schools) competition.

Jets stay perfect with win over Falcons

    MONROE—Adams Central ended another foe in under seven innings on Wednesday night as they handled Winchester in five frames, 11-0.
    Jaron Bittner tossed from the mound for his first varsity start and did not disappoint throwing five full innings of three-hit baseball allowing no runs in the shut out.

Harvey dominates in Squaws’ track win

    KENDALLVILLE—A highly anticipated match-up between two of the state's top sprinters turned out decidedly in Bellmont's favor Tuesday night in a Northeast Hoosier Conference girls track triangular meet at East Noble.
    The Squaws easily won with 80 points while the host Knights were second at 50 and Homestead was a distant third at 37 in a meet that also featured a new Bellmont school record in the long jump.

Leo silences Squaws behind Claxton’s no-hitter, 16-0

    Bellmont's 0-3 start was given no leniency on Monday night when the Leo Lady Lions came to town and took a five-inning 16-0 decision from the Squaws at home.
    A no-hit effort from Lions' pitcher Jessica Claxton was not entirely necessary but effective nonetheless as the Squaws reached first base on a Nicole Schevenius walk in the second inning but would get no further on the paths Monday night.

SA earns a pair over Lincoln, Tri

    CAMBRIDGE CITY—The Starfire baseball team made a 140-mile round trip on Saturday playing a pair of games in between to make it worth their while going 2-0 on the day to improve their record to an even 3-3 on the season.
    The Stars began their day with a six inning rout of the host school Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles, 10-0 led by the one-hit pitching effort of their senior ace, Alex Augsburger. The hurler had three strikeouts with three walks but allowed just one hit all day to the Golden Eagles facing 20 batters officially.

Starfires shine in tri-meet sweep of Jets, Railroaders

    For the girls, SA won just five of the 15 events but managed to earn enough points for the victory with 62, while Garrett was just behind at 51 points and AC finished third with 43.
    The Railroaders were winners of two of the three relays but the Stars won the 3200 Relay behind the strength of Kristen Muselman, Aleesha Goodwin, Lily Shane, and Katelyn Hawbaker who finished with a time of 11:57.6.
