January 10, 2014

Wayne Trace and Homestead are slated to be new entrants in Saturday's annual Main Event slated for the Bellmont High School gymnasiums.

Birch freebies in OT seal Bellmont win over Pats, 62-58

January 4, 2014

Free throws were the key to the game for Bellmont in both winning and nearly losing to Heritage on Friday night as the Braves held on to a 62-58 overtime victory over the visiting Pats.
"We're pleased with getting a win," noted Bellmont coach John Baker whose team improved to 3-4 on the season with the victory. "There is no such thing as a bad win. With that said we made things more interesting than they should have been. Taking care of the basketball and sinking free throws and it wouldn't have gone to OT."

The result was a Braves victory that seemed a lot closer than it could have been at the Hangar in Monroe, 58-54.
