The Squaws held their own against a golf juggernaut Tuesday landing an impressive 189-192 victory over the Homestead Spartans at Cross Creek.
“This was a great win for Squaws’ golf,” noted coach Andy Heim.
Rachel Klingensmith rose to the occasion for Bellmont shooting a course low 43 to pace the Squaw shooters. Courtney DelaCusta also shot a 43 for Homestead tying for medalist honors.

FORT WAYNE—For the second time in their first four matches this season, Bellmont was pushed to their limits into a defining fifth set.

Despite being down two sets to one, coach Craig Krull and his Squaws were not leaving the raucous gym without a victory.
With 42 sectional titles between them and both gunning for a state title run in their respective classes, Bellmont and Adams Central's county-rival grudge match on the volleyball court lived up to the billing.
For one set at least.
