In 2007, A-Rod signed a ridiculous 10-year $252 million contract with New York. Now, at age 38, Rodriguez is swiftly declining down a path of eeeesh and the Yankees are in the middle of a playoff push.

Like the baseball teams headed to play at Parkview Field in the spring, the football teams in the ACAC take a trip to “big boy town” to battle at Ball State’s football facility in Muncie for an experience many on the field will not feel again after high school.
There will be four games played on Saturday with the Jets opening up against the Southern Wells Raiders, then Bluffton and Heritage, Leo and Woodlan, and the night cap will be South Adams and Garrett.

Now we’re getting down to the nitty-gritty. Fewer than 50 days remain until the November general election.
And while the presidential race is grabbing most of the headlines, let’s focus today on a race of near equal importance to Hoosiers. Indiana voters this year will select a new governor — choosing from Republican Mike Pence, Democrat John Gregg and Libertarian Rupert Boneham.

This latest incident of picking on the Amish brings back some sad and tragic memories of what can happen.
It was in 1979 that Adams County teenagers got their kicks by riding around the county and throwing things at Amish folks in their buggies, things like rocks and pieces of tile. They were harassing, the teens said, a bunch of "clapes," a word many of us had never before heard. It apparently comes from putting clay with ape, a derogatory term for a farmer.

I find it difficult to believe that there are so many quality television shows on the air these days. For so long it felt like there was nothing to watch. Now I find myself torn between shows appearing on opposing channels at the same time or find the DVR overloaded with shows I've missed. This is one of the reasons that shows being released on DVD at somewhat affordable prices are doing so well right now. And one show that continues to remain a quality series is CRIMINAL MINDS.
Bellmont has their work cut out for them if they want to extend their golf season for another week.
The Squaws shot well Saturday, enough to get them out of the Norwell-hosted sectionals along with the home team and Homestead as all three squads meet up with the winners of six sectionals to determine who goes to state the following weekend.
