One of the great purchases in the history of Adams County occurred when the county bought the former Decatur High School. At a low price of around $1 million, the county got what has now taken the place of the courthouse as the hub of county government activities ... plus a number of agencies which serve people.
Now if county officials could just figure out what to do about a new home for superior court. But that's a story for another day.

With so many movies being released these days it's hard to decide what movie to rent or watch. If you have a particular favorite genre you usually lean that direction. If you hear from a friend you might use that to decide. Most of us rarely step out of our comfort zone, though.
Make a decision to do that tonight and rent SILVER LINING PLAYBOOK.

Let's be honest. Who's not sick of paying too much for clothes they don't really like or don't really look or feel good wearing. But what can you do? It's not like you can make your own custom clothing to look and fit how you want it to....

During the People, Places, and Profiles editions of the newspaper a few months back, I wrote an article about the ACAC and NHC. The idea of the piece was to highlight the flaws of the conferences purely based on the size changes of certain schools within the last decade and even longer.
I’m sure when the conferences were formed the teams were a lot closer in talent level, enrollment, and balance. That’s simply not the case anymore.

Okay, let's get it out of the way right now. Let's move right to the tough part, to the hard facts. Those cold, hard facts.
Here goes: Some day in the near future — and that may be sooner rather than later — Adams County is going to have to take a serious look at building a ... new jail!
    Whew! That wasn't easy, right?

Quentin Tarantino has never been one to shy away from controversy. From his first film, RESERVOIR DOGS, he jumped into filmmaking head-first, creating films he wanted to see and that apparently the rest of the world has too.

Youth hear a lot about alcohol from TV, movies, music, and their friends.  This is the time of year when they are talking about it more because of prom and graduation.  Research has shown time and time again that parents are the greatest influence on their kids. So what should you know about underage drinking?

How long has it been since your last family vacation?
Times are tough. Jobs are scarce, and money even more so. On the other hand, vacations are a great way to bond with the family and build memories. So how do you get away without spending an outrageous amount of money?
