There have been numerous filmed versions of Alexandre Dumas' swashbuckling tale THE THREE MUSKETEERS over the years. My favorite of which remains the one starring Gene Kelly and June Allyson.
Some have been good, some have been bad and many have been so-so. But it's been a while since one was made so I guess it was inevitable that we have a new one; thus, we have this latest version from director Paul W. S. Anderson, the director behind the RESIDENT EVIL series of films as well as two ALIEN sequels.

Applause is due for Decatur City Council, Mayor John Schultz and City Attorney Tim Baker for the professional and thoughtful manner in which they've been handling the proposed ordinance regulating sexually-oriented businesses that might want to settle here.
From the outset, Baker has stressed the point, "You can't ban something simply because you don't like it."
Whatever happened to Tebow-mania?!
One minute we're talking about how impossible it was for Tim Tebow to get the Broncos to the playoffs, then we're talking about how impossible it was that he beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. If they would have somehow beaten the AFC champion New England Patriots, Tebow probably would have been elected Pope.
Enter Peyton Manning.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day weekend to all. This is the month the college basketball fanatics come out of the woodwork like the crazies on Friday the 13th and the casual fan can quickly become the expert analysis. If you're like some people who simply fill out a bracket based on whose team colors are the prettiest or have the coolest mascot, best of luck to you...you'll probably win anyway.
That's how up in the air the brackets feel this year.

It's almost here, Jet fans. AC's best chance at a state-title ever continues on Saturday with a visit to North Judson. If you've got no plans for the weekend and you're looking for a basketball game to watch, you might as well get over to the regionals because Adams County has not had a team this good since Arnold, Richie, and Schultz donned Braves uniforms at the same time.

Uh oh, lock the doors. Pull the curtains. Turn out the lights and turn off the TV. Hide the women and children. Here comes a Girl Scout up the sidewalk!
She'll probably want to sell us those cookies, and she'll give her nose a tweak with the thumb — you know, mobster style — and say, "You don't have to buy buddy, but..."

It's always a pleasure to find a movie that you thought would be terrible and be proven wrong. After the disaster that was GULLIVER'S TRAVELS I was certain that THE BIG YEAR starring Jack Black would be another travesty of film with him mugging for the camera the same way he always does. Instead I found a delightful film that I know I could watch again and enjoy.

Sectional basketball is here at last. Firstly though, Bellmont deserves all the props in the world for continually year-in and year-out dominating the wrestling world in Indiana. Even after 25+ years of Bellmont heroics, the big schools like Perry Meridian still look over their shoulders and worry about when they’ll have to face the scrappy Braves.
