We were the team to beat, it just didn't happen," stated veteran Bellmont assistant coach Tim Myers after the Al Smith Classic last week at Mishawaka.
Bellmont, with nine placers and three making to the finals, led most of the way, but yeilded in the end to Penn by three points.

January 4, 2011

U.S. Rep. Mike Pence is scheduling Republican Lincoln Days Dinner all over Indiana, Howey Politics Indiana has reported.
It is the best clue yet that he is preparing to launch a 2012 Indiana gubernatorial campaign, as opposed to seeking the presidency. "He is scheduling larger counties," a Republican source told HPI on Monday.
"If he is running for president, it would be an interesting and novel strategy. We could call it the Win Indiana Strategy!"

Penn rallies to nip Braves at Mishawaka

January 3, 2011

MISHAWAKA — Bellmont put up a strong effort for the two-day Al Smith Classic at Mishawaka last week, but a rally by Penn in the final round plus a bad break for the Braves — a broken hand suffered by junior 140-pounder Brooks Faurote — resulted in a narrow Kingsmen win, 208-205.

Tonight's historic contest between the Bellmont Braves @ Adams Central is...
WOODBURN— Like Bishop Dwenger a few nights before, the Woodlan Warriors...
The Braves entertained a short-handed South Side tennis squad on Tuesday night...
