Joan F. Fuhrman, 74, of Payne, Ohio and formerly of Decatur, died on Monday at Dallas Lamb Nursing Home in Payne, where she had resided for the past year.
She was born on September 6, 1936, in Monroeville to Noble and Cecil Burkhead Comment.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Fuhrman of Monroeville and Frank Fuhrman of Decatur.
Graveside services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
Clayton A. Shuck, 4, of Geneva, died Wednesday at home.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur.

Charles H. “Chuck” Edgar, 83, of Decatur, died Tuesday in Woodcrest Retirement Community's nursing center.
He was born to Roy and Lillian Whitacre Edgar.
Survivors include a son, Doug Edgar of Monroe, and a daughter, Mrs. Dan (Fay) Schwartz of Middlebury, Indiana.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home in Decatur, followed by a 6 p.m. funeral service.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — In a legal victory for victims’ families, Ohio’s highest court ruled Tuesday that a university’s insurance coverage extended to a charter bus that crashed in 2007, killing five student baseball players and two others.
After five years of meticulous planning and aggressive fund-raising, spearheaded by the Berne Community Development Corporation, the Muensterberg Plaza clock tower in Berne became a reality in 2010, making it the No. 8 story of the year as chosen by employees of the Decatur Daily Democrat.
Ground was ceremoniously broken in mid-March and work on the 160-foot clock tower, funded exclusively by private donations, began almost immediately.

KJ Gould, grandson of Jay and Carolyn Gould of rural Berne, also achieved success in soccer, and track during his high school career. He will have 12 varsity letters when he graduates, according to information furnished by the Gould family.

Bellmont has won the Mishawaka Wrestling Invitational 14 times, more than any other school, and the last Braves' win came in 2003.
That's one winless streak that Bellmont would like to end.
"It's wide open. There are five or six teams with a legitimate chance. Whoever places the most, pops the most into the finals will win the tourney," stated Bellmont coach Brent Faurote.

Mirroring the national trend, the Republican Party in Adams County swept all countywide contested races in the Nov. 2 general election. The GOP landslide was ranked as the No. 7 story of the year in voting by employees of the Decatur Daily Democrat.
Republican candidates posted upset victories over three sitting Democrats, held onto two other contested seats, and filled a pending vacancy in the county sheriff’s office.
