Guidelines have been set for a random drug testing policy at South Adams Schools that will be implemented beginning next school year.
Superintendent Scott Litwiller said at Tuesday's board meeting that a committee met several times and "the guidelines are probably as complete as they can be until we get into it [the practice of random drug testing] a little bit and then we can tweak them."

Stuart A. Braun, 46, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011, at his residence.
He was born on May 26, 1964, to Richard E. and Catherine “Ann” (Gass) Braun.
Linda L. Chrisman, 62, of Berne, died on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Adams Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 9, 1948, in Adams County to Charles and Eileen (Krick) Garwood, who are deceased.
On November 28, 1970, she married Jeffery L. Chrisman.
Sharon E. Dague, 68, of Berne, died at 9:05 p.m. on Thursday in Berne.
She was born to Raymond and Pauline Bollenbacher Miller.
She married Donald W. Dague; he passed away in 1992.
Gerald E. Hobbs, 67, of Decatur, died at 6:36 p.m. Sunday at his residence.
He married Wilma L. Carter on December 28, 1968; she survives.
He was formerly a maintenance worker at O&R Precision in Geneva and had been attending Cornerstone Missionary Church in Decatur.
L. Irene Hoverman, 91, who lived her entire life in Willshire, Ohio, died there at 12:50 p.m. Monday.
She was born to Floyd L. and Nellie Stetler Strickler.
She married Merl F. Hoverman on July 17, 1938, in Cridersville, Ohio; he passed away on February 20, 1957.
She was a member of the auxiliary at Homer Pierson American Legion Post in Willshire and the Willshire Senior Citizens.
Alice Journay, 90, of Berne, died on Monday at home.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne.
The ACAC Girls Tennis Tournament, which was started on Saturday but interrupted because of rain, concluded with the singles placement matches Monday on the Adams Central Courts. Leo's Madison Carroll defeated Bluffton's Kara Fiechter, 6-4, 6-1, for the crown. She advanced to the finals after topping AC's Hali Wendel 7-5, 6-2 and beating Amanda Stone of Bluffton 6-2, 6-2 in the opening round.
Earlier, South Adams claimed the doubles title as Kassy Potts and Lindsey Graber went through the tourney unbeaten.
New Haven's Kayla Fendel tossed a four-hit shutout Monday evening as the Bulldogs earned a 7-0 win in Northeast Hoosier Conference softball action at the Bellmont diamond over the Squaws.
The Bulldogs did most of their damage in the third inning off Bellmont hurler Nicole Schevenius when they tallied five runs. New Haven had three extra base hits in the game including a triple by Courtney Barfell and doubles by Destiney Beard and Mazie Hake. All four BHS hits were singles.
The Adams County Commissioners unanimously agreed on Monday to lift the county hiring freeze and allow the Adams County Extension Board to fill a vacant Purdue Extension Service educator position.
However, Commissioner Doug Bauman told a large group from the extension system in the county that the extension board must "be really, really creative" and "do a sales job to the county council," which provides part of the pay for that educator and also establishes the county's budget every year.
