‘Ugly wall’ may get some early work

April 23, 2013

That "ugly wall," as Mayor John Schultz describes it, may be shedding some of its ugliness one of these days.

The mayor noted at last week's city council meeting that the local Sculpture Tour Committee has asked permission to place some sort of temporary mural on the wall to get it through this year's tour, scheduled for June 8.

This will be the second of four quarterly town hall meetings planned for this year.

Suddenly, the home plate official motioned to the press box signaling that the score was incorrect and that the game was actually tied 8-8. After some number checking and plenty of mixed emotions from the stands, the teams went back to their dugouts for extra softball.
