With the loss of the federal grant funding School Resource Officers (SRO) in Adams County, and the falling through of the anonymous donation earmarked to cover the salary costs to keep all three Adams County SROs in the schools, concern over the future of all three SROs has been spotlighted over the past few months.
Both North Adams and Adams Central schools announced in June they would find a way to fund the SRO program, ensuring an officer remains at each school, until another solution could be found.
