The Beat the Pros bracket challenge is nearing its completion with the Final Four now in place. Saturday, March 31 marks the date for the final two games before the National Championship on Monday, April 2.

After all eight games in the Sweet 16 the standings have some familiar faces, but it’s still anyone’s race with some new brackets coming forward in the contest. Stay tuned for updates after the Elite 8 this weekend.

The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association has released its first-team Academic All-State list of 29 boys and 28 girls as well as an honorable mention list including 146 boys and 148 girls around the state of Indiana. Two Bellmont Braves were selected to the honorable mention list for the award; seniors Payton Selking and Logan Smith.

FORT WAYNE–Bellmont picked up a pair of early season track wins over Bishop Luers Tuesday night at Luers Field with the Braves notching an 86-46 triumph over the Knights while the Squaws dealt their foes a 92-33 setback.
The win for the Braves was impressive considering the fact they went winless last season.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Norwell’s Jessica Rupright is The Indianapolis Star’s Indiana Miss Basketball.
Norwell’s career leader in points (1,591) and rebounds (728), received 41 votes of the 206 total cast by media and coaches. North Central’s Nariah Taylor (19 votes) and Mt. Vernon’s Jessica Brown (17) were second and third, respectively, the Star announced in its Wednesday editions. A total of 36 players received at least one vote.
Bellmont seniors Allison Gutierrez and Mikala Quinn were selected to the Academic All-State Honorable Mention list at the girls’ basketball banquet last week. The girls were selected for their outstanding play on the court and success in the classroom as well.
MARION—Bellmont's Alexis Harvey finished in the medal round of the 55 meter dash Saturday at the Hoosier State Relays held at Indiana Wesleyan University's Troyer Fieldhouse to be the only participant from Adams County to score.
Harvey posted a 7.51 speed in the finals for seventh place (the top eight advance to the final round) out of 29 runners who had qualified for the indoor state finals event.
WASHINGTON, Ind. (AP) — Simply put, Washington, Ind.’s affection for all things Zeller knows no bounds.
The three Mr. Basketball, McDonald All-American brothers helped deliver four state titles to town — and people may be even more excited about the Zeller dynasty today than when Luke Zeller’s miracle shot first brought the name to national attention in 2005.
