MONROE— A 12-2 run at the end of the third quarter propelled the Bluffton Tigers past the Adams Central boys on Tuesday night's opening round of the ACAC tournament, 59-44.
Luke Voirol's fast break lay-up gave the Jets a 29-27 edge with three minutes to play in the third quarter but the Tigers scored the game's next 10 points taking advantage of a few AC miscues. Two free throws from Jonah Tijerina ended the drought with under a minute left but the Jets went into the final stanza down 41-31.
