Jets hold off Parkway 63-55

December 6, 2010

MONROE—History was made at Adams Central on Saturday night at 5:40 of the third quarter as the Flying Jets played Parkway's Panthers.
Junior Kyle Fawcett inbounded a lob to fellow 11th grader Maverick Baumer, who produced a dramatic throwdown for the first inbounds dunk since the school began basketball in the late 1940s.
The slam brought much of the home crowd to its feet and, while not decisive in the Jets' eventual 63-55 victory, showed that a different day has dawned for the sport at AC.
