With 7:02 left in the second quarter, Bellmont's Amanda Hunter hit a short jumper that put the Squaws ahead of Concordia 10-9.
That was the only lead of the game for the Squaws who over the course of the next 16 or so minutes of play allowed Concordia to outscore them 35-2 with the Cadets' size and defense taking the Squaws quicckly out of the game and sending the visitors back home with a non-conference 61-25 triumph.
KENOSHA, WI—Three Adams County cross country runners had spectacular runs Saturday at the Foot Locker Midwest Regional Championship event held at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside campus.
Bellmont's Bailey Beery ran in the girls' seeded race and posted a solid 18:59 time for 49th place out of 245 runners.
Greg Coyne made a big stride to the overall top of the standings with this week's win as he was the only bracket to guess all 10 games correctly. Missing just one game, Mike Jauregui took second place. He was off by just one of the tie-breaker score (50), while Sharon Grim took third place with one wrong as well and a guess of 51. While both Mike and Sharon were one off the tie-breaker score, Mike's name was drawn out of the hat for the second place prize. The overall standings are at the bottom.
