MONROE—An under-practiced rotation and possibly some jitters forced Adams Central to drop their first game against Churubusco at the Hangar on Tuesday night in their volleyball opener.
It proved to be only a momentary scare for the Lady Jets, however, as they would go on to win 75 of the final 111 points in the match to dominate the Eagles in four sets 25-19, 17-25, 8-25, 11-25.
HARTFORD CITY—South Adams began their young volleyball season on Monday night when they traveled to Blackford to meet up with the Bruins.
Despite a reserve win, the varsity was a three-set victim to Blackford 25-22, 25-19, 25-14.
"It was a tough loss because we did not come out as strong as I would have liked to see," admitted SA coach Amie Sprunger. "We are holding our heads up high and looking forward to another match this week against Canterbury on Thursday."
