BLUFFTON—In a game reminiscent to the first times Bluffton and South Adams met, the Lady Stars proved that the first time was not a fluke topping the Lady Tigers in Tuesday night's sectional opening round, 41-37.
Where 41 points was the mark for AC in a 27-point loss to Luers in game one, South Adams' 41 points was a winning tally in a game that featured plenty of defense and a grand total of 47 turnovers by both teams.
GAS CITY—If you love turnovers, Tuesday night's second game of the class 3A girls basketball sectional at Mississinewa High School between Heritage and Bellmont was right up your alley.
After leading for most of the first period and several minutes into round two, the Squaws made miscue after miscue allowing the Patriots to stay in the hunt. Bellmont committed a whopping 35 turnovers while Heritage responded in kind with 25 boo-boos in the game that finally fell into the Heritage win column by a 61-49 count.

"It was definitely, by far, my biggest win," stated South Adams senior LJ Moser, after knocking off No. 1 rated Schuyler Phillips of Yorktown, 3-1, in the 120-pound Jay County Regional Wrestling championship match Saturday.
"I was so nervous with 20 seconds left on the clock. I'm thinking, this is the state runner-up and he's ranked first, and I just have to hold on, and I was able to do it."
