On a cold and windy day at Cross Creek Golf Club, it was the home team Cross Creek who defended its Adams County Cup title, scoring a 20-10 victory against the group from Limberlost.
October 5th
WATERLOO—As the nursery rhyme goes, "Down came the rain and washed the Barons out" on Friday night as the Braves came into town and dominated DeKalb with the rushing game in a downpour, 34-6.
It was hard to tell what ruined the Barons' senior night more, the rain or Bellmont's run game as the Braves accumulated 428 yards on the ground in a committee effort that resulted in three players over the century mark.
With the exception of a few spots of sloppy play in the second game, the Bellmont volleyball team sparkled Thursday night in posting a three-game sweep of NHC foe Columbia City at the Teepee.
October 4th
Both the Bellmont and South Adams boys' soccer teams ended their seasons Wednesday night in sectional play as the Braves were downed by the Knights at Norwell 1-0, and the Starfires were trampled by Heritage at Blackhawk Christian 8-0.
October 3rd
MONROEVILLE—The ACAC co-champion Lady Jets moved on as predicted against a struggling Southern Wells squad in two, but the South Adams Lady Stars nearly pulled off the unlikely upset against the Leo Lions losing in three sets to the other co-champs.

The Northeast Hoosier Conference has released its all-conference lists for the 2012 boys tennis season featuring four Bellmont Braves making the cut.

MUNCIE- Five first half turnovers from the Raiders spelled an easy victory for Adams Central at Ball State on Saturday, while the Starfires…
Adams Central opened up the four-game ACAC extravaganza in Muncie with a lopsided 41-24 victory over the Southern Wells Raiders.
The Jets jumped out of the gate on their opening possession when quarterback Dalton Combs connected with sophomore Carter Sharp on a fourth and two that turned into six points for AC on a 36-yard romp. The kick was botched for the Jets.
FORT WAYNE—It would have taken nearly an order from the Supreme Court to change the top two team positions in the girls Northeast Hoosier Conference cross country meet Saturday at the Plex but the real battle was for positions three through seven.
September 28th
NEW HAVEN—Bellmont entered the hostile environment of the Bulldogs on Friday night and nearly stole one against their NHC opponent falling short 27-24.
The Braves entered the fourth quarter down three scores and fading fast but a late push and an on-side kick put Bellmont in striking distance.

BERNE—It's never a sure thing when two county teams come together as the Lady Jets found out Thursday night against South Adams.
