Squaws suffer 78-25 beat down

January 16, 2012

OSSIAN— Playing the number one team in 3A is never easy, but trying to do so on the road and without your starting point guard to facilitate the offense and anchor the defense, it seemed to be near-impossible for the Squaws on Saturday night as they fell to the top-ranked Lady Knights of Norwell, 78-25.
Allison Gutierrez, still out with an ankle issue, was sorely missed in a game that the Squaws turned the ball over 31 times compared to just six times for the home team Knights.

County matmen immune to the heat of competition

January 10, 2012

As usual, the first Saturday of January was full of challenges for Adams County wrestlers, and for the most part they did great.
While Adams Central was winning it's own Super Dual — dabbling in the criteria chapter to get it done — South Adams was winning a 17-team invitational in Troy, Ohio, and Bellmont ... well, the Braves were put to the fire in what has to be the toughest one-day Super Dual in the state.
