MONROE—The Braves collided with the Flying Jets of Adams Central on Tuesday night at the Hangar picking up a huge victory over the talented Jet team, 3-2 to remain perfect on the season.
Bellmont, now 5-0 to begin the year, got a boost of confidence from their doubles team, an area that coach Joe Selking thought may be the hardest to replace after last season's successful team.
Before the Hall of Fame festivities, the Cross Country Men's League playoffs were held. The Monday league champion Democrat team edged out Thursday champs, Hometown Healthcare, 6-4 to take the league title. In the A spot, Mike Macke beat Dr. Mike Ainsworth 83 (net 81) to 84. At position B, Jared Friedt shot an 81 (net 78) beating out Scott Ainsworth's 79. AJ Kalver nipped Marty Simonson, 78 (net 77) to 78.
