The Squaws renewed their quest for another state title on Tuesday night as they hosted the once formidable Bishop Dwenger Lady Saints at the Teepee.
While usually a tight match to start the season for Bellmont, Dwenger proved to be slightly less challenging for the Squaws as they were felled 25-10, 25-14, 25-18 in straight sets.
South Adams opened their volleyball season at home last night with a contest against the Blackford Lady Bruins that ended in a four set win for the visitors spoiling new head coach Amie Sprunger's first match.
After losing the first set, 25-21, the Stars let set two fall away without a fight, 25-12. Coach Sprunger rallied the troops and SA came alive taking the third set, 25-16, then fell, 29-27 in extra volleyball during the fourth set.
