Bellmont second baseman Matt Stidam shocked the New Haven Bulldogs in the bottom of the seventh inning when he delivered a 1-0 fastball over the left-field fence to lift the Braves in walk-off fashion to a 4-3 win against their talented NHC rivals on Tuesday night at the Teepee.
After trailing for most of the game, Bellmont tied the score at 3-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning and neither team scored again until Stidam's lead-off jack to end the game.
WOODBURN—The Starfires traveled to Woodlan High School on Tuesday night in an ACAC clash with the Warriors and came away with an explosion of offense resulting in a 12-1 victory in six innings.
After a scoreless top of the first, Woodlan looked to be headed for a good night when they scored their only run, which came off of Starfire errors, but South Adams would not go scoreless in an inning again.
