    MONROE—AC did it again.
For the fifth time in five days, Adams Central has played a varsity baseball game and won. Take away Tuesday night's game against Woodlan (a 10-0 laugher) and all of the games played by AC in the last week have been thrillers to the wire, including last night's win against Heritage in ACAC action at the Hangar where the Jets once again looked dead in the water late in the game, but somehow managed to pull out the victory, 7-6, for another conference win.

Bellmont gets a pair of homeruns in victory

April 25, 2012

Bellmont opened its Northeast Hoosier Conference season in varsity baseball Tuesday night thumbing its nose at experts who said the new bats required for this season in high school baseball would reduce the number of home runs and other extra base hits.
Bellmont battered Columbia City pitching for 13 hits including two first inning home runs and they also had four doubles in the game as they posted an 8-5 win and is now 8-3 on the year.

April 25, 2012

Cold and windy conditions cut down on the Bellmont girls recording many new season best efforts on Senior Night Tuesday evening and the Squaws fell to the Norwell Knights 85-46  while in the boys meet it was much closer but Norwell still captured a 73-59 triumph at Bob Worthman Stadium.
The Squaws won five of the 16 events on the night and as usual were led by Alexis Harvey and Holly Hankenson. Both girls picked up two individual triumphs and then joined Emily Roman and Allyson Norby on the winning 4 x 400 relay team in 4:15.2.

AC three-run seventh stuns Jay County

April 23, 2012

Lady Jets outlast Squaws, 3-2

April 23, 2012

MONROE— To call it breezy outside during Bellmont and Adams Central's tennis meet at AC on Monday night would be like saying Monica Seles made a few noises when she played tennis.
Seles was not present at the Hangar on Monday, but the Squaws and Lady Jets were, and their much anticipated rivalry this season did not disappoint, with AC squeaking out a 3-2 victory over the visiting Bellmonters from across the county.
