PORTLAND — Bellmont avoided a letdown from Wednesday's emotional team regional victory, stamping eight semistate tickets with three champs, while South Adams had two champs with seven qualifiers, and Adams Central churned up a title and also shoved seven through Saturday at the Jay County Individual Regional Wrestling Tournament.
PORTLAND—South Adams had a spectacular performance Saturday from freshman Cady Farlow who won two events in the Jay County IHSAA girls swim sectional including a record pace in the 100 breaststroke, in addition to taking the 100 freestyle.
With the wins, Farlow will travel to Indianapolis on Friday night for the preliminary session of the IHSAA state finals.

MONROE—None of Adams Central's players was alive when AC last defeated Leo in the 1990-91 season, 59-58.
However, the atmosphere in The Hangar on Saturday night was extremely alive as the Flying Jets out-Leo-ed the Lions, 90 to 64, to end a 26-game losing streak over the past 21 years versus the Allen Countians.
It was also only the ninth game out of 1,564 played in AC's 62 years of basketball in which the Jets scored 90 points or more.
