Nick Fuelling is this week's Athlete of the Week after a career-high performance against county-rival South Adams leading the Braves to a 68-56 win. Fuelling had 26 points on a nearly flawless 11-for-12 shooting performance from the floor owning the paint for the entirety of the game. Nick also led the team with seven rebounds and swatted a shot in the contest.
Braves’ senior forward Nick Fuelling was a near-perfect 11-for-12 from the field en route to a career high 26 points in the 68-56 win against the Starfires of South Adams at the Teepee last night.
Fellow senior Payton Selking also managed 20 points in the win along with an impressive five assists and five rebounds to boot. The two managed to hound the Stars’ defense the entire night from the inside out as most of Fuelling’s points came in the paint and Selking drained four of Bellmont’s five three-pointers.
MONROE—The Adams Central girls basketball team learned the hard way Tuesday night in a 44-38 setback to Lakewood Park that a period in varsity action lasts an entire eight minutes, not 7:57.
The Braves and Starfires tip off tonight at the Teepee in what should be an excellent match-up of two teams with similar stories this season.
