Adams Central wins three at Yorktown

December 17, 2012

YORKTOWN — Adams Central coach Doug Schultz calls his team's performance Saturday at Yorktown "mediocre" as the Jets went 3-2, losing in the battle of No.1s to the hosts, 58-16, then falling to New Haven and former AC coach Barry Humble, 39-27.
The Jets took second in their pool, slamming Prairie Heights 68-6 and Maconaquah 69-12, and also downing Culver Community 46-25.

Squaws earn 1st NHC win over New Haven, 40-35

December 17, 2012

NEW HAVEN—The Bellmont girls basketball team scored nearly five times as many points in the second half Saturday night than it did in the first half and thus earned a 40-35 win over the New Haven Bulldogs in the NHC opener for the Squaws.
Of course, that offensive production wasn't that difficult considering the Squaws went into the locker room at halftime with just seven points scored on 3-22 shooting (13.6 percent).
