MONROE — Adams Central won 10 of 14 matches, drubbing Heritage 54-19 Thursday, earning at least a share of the ACAC dual meet wrestling title with it's sixth loop win in as many meets.
The Jets, 20-2 overall, are heavily favored to wrap up the crown Saturday in they face Bluffton in the first round of the Adams Central Superdaul. That match will begin at 9 a.m.
Bellmont freshman 160-pounder Brett Baker hit a chin rip and flattened Homestead junior Brennan Durr in 3:14, starting a string of six straight wins as the No. 18 Bellmont Braves thumped Homestead 55-14 Thursday night, capping a perfect 7-0 NHC wrestling campaign.
"That wraps up another undefeated dual season in the conference, so now the challenge is to come back in a few weeks and win the tournament," stated Bellmont coach Brent Faurote.
