INDIANAPOLIS — Too many falls given up were the problem for Adams Central Saturday in the tough Warren Central Super Dual as the Jets went 2-3, losing just 35-30 to No. 14 Warren Central and 39-38 to Ben Davis. No. 6 (Coaches' poll) Roncalli stopped the Jets 49-19.
The Jets shut out Howe 69-6 and blanked Northwestern 81-0.
Adams Central stalwarts Derek Roe at 132, Cody Walburn at 120, Ben Pfister at 182 and Zeke Schultz at 152 all went unbeaten on the day.
OSSIAN— Playing the number one team in 3A is never easy, but trying to do so on the road and without your starting point guard to facilitate the offense and anchor the defense, it seemed to be near-impossible for the Squaws on Saturday night as they fell to the top-ranked Lady Knights of Norwell, 78-25.
Allison Gutierrez, still out with an ankle issue, was sorely missed in a game that the Squaws turned the ball over 31 times compared to just six times for the home team Knights.
