PORTLAND—A co-ed triangular track meet between Adams Central, Bellmont and Jay County found the Jets capturing a tight boys meet while Jay County earned a decisive win in the girls encounter.
Adams Central boys dominated the field events winning three of the four events staged there and notched 58 points to nose out second place Jay County with 55. Bellmont was a close third with 43 markers.
With the loss of state runner-up high jumper Travis Jauregui and distance runners Justin Kukelhan and Michael Hammond to graduation, plus the loss of a pair of current seniors who decided not to run track, first-year head coach Andy Heim has had to fill a lot of holes in the Bellmont boys track team this year.
