The Bellmont football team bus will leave school at 2 p.m. Friday and head west on Monroe Street (US 224W). Parents and football boosters are planning a special sendoff for the squad, which will travel to West Lafayette to take on that squad in a 3A Regional football contest at 7:30 p.m.
Fans who turn out and line Monroe Street are encouraged to bring signs and noisemakers for the event.
The Braves and Jets will both be traveling quite the distance for their regional match-ups tomorrow in hopes of pulling off the unlikely against West Lafayette and Sheridan, two powerhouses in their respective divisions.
The West Lafayette Red Devils have an impressive 11-1 record going into the contest and they also have the home-field advantage going their way, but the upstart Braves have something of a chip on their shoulders as they come into the game with the confidence and momentum.
