Squaws handle Jay in three games

    Bellmont came, saw, and conquered in three straight games against Jay County Thursday night to increase its season record to 25-5.
    The Squaws polished off the Patriots by scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-10 to accomplish the win and did so behind double kill nights from Payton Schultz and Holly Hankenson as the senior-sophomore combo had 15 and 10 kills respectively.

Busse named county player of the year

    Former Bellmont outfielder Will Busse was honored this week for his outstanding play, mental attitude, and team commitment on the baseball field for the Braves last season as he wins the Outstanding Player of the Year Award for Adams County.
    The award was sponsored by the website www.adamscountyvoice.com, which honors a baseball-playing student athlete from Adams County (Bellmont, Adams Central, or South Adams) for the display of character and determination, as well as a selfless showing of what it means to be a good teammate.
