FORT WAYNE—Two teams with nearly identical records collided in non-conference girls varsity basketball action Tuesday night and the Bellmont Squaws returned to Decatur with a narrow 48-46 win over the Wayne Generals.
The Squaws moved to 8-9 on the season while dropping the Generals to 7-9 with the setback.
The Bellmont 200 freestyle relay team, of Jay Watters, Austin McCord, Matt Mock, and Zac Torrey, broke the record last night going 1:32.69, beating the existing record of 1:33.39 as the BHS boys beat the Knights 98-87 in an NHC meet.
The boys move to 7-2 on the season and finish the conference season with a 3-2 record. The girls easily won that meet, 110-75 over the Lady East Noble Knights.
