Ercell C. Elliott

    Ercell C. Elliott, 84, Houlton, Maine, died Tuesday, June 29, 2014.
    Survivors include a son, L. James (Linda) Elliott of Grand Manan Island, Canada; and a sister, Maxine (Joe) Jauregui of Decatur.
    Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton, Me.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pauline Haggard

    Pauline Haggard, 87, Decatur, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    She was born July 29, 1926, in Adams County to the late Walter and Lela (Johnson) Brintzenhofe.
    Pauline married Myron “Hank” Haggard March 14, 1953; he preceded her in death on June 18, 1996.
    Pauline was a member of St. Luke Church, a lifelong resident of Adams County and a homemaker.

Fred R. Isch

    Fred R. Isch, 81, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 1, 2014, at Adams Evergreen.
    He was born Aug. 5, 1932, in Adams County to the late Ralph S. Isch and Opal L. (Walters) Isch Lillich. 
    Fred married Nola Grandstaff on June 7, 1953; she preceded him in death on April 12, 2009.
    Fred was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. He was a 1950 graduate of Decatur High School. He served in United States Army during the Korean War. 

Steven D. Seitz

    Steven D. Seitz, 54, Decatur, died Saturday from an accidental drowning following a kayak mishap.

    David Lee Brown, infant son of Matt and Adrienne (Fusselman) Brown, Huntington, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at University Hospital in Ohio.
    David was born June 26, 2014, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
    Survivors include his parents; a sister, Jayda Brown of Huntington; maternal grandparents, Ron (Deneen) Fusselman of Huntington and Patty Fusselman of North Carolina; and paternal grandparents, Nancy Brown of Decatur and Dave Brown of Dickson, Ohio.

    Fred R. Isch, 81, former five-term mayor of the city of Decatur, passed away early today at Adams Evergreen.

    Virginia L. “Ginny” Reef, 86, Decatur, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Adams Woodcrest, Decatur.
    Ginny was born Thursday, April 26, 1928, in Arcadia, La., the daughter of the late John S. and Nannie L. (Henry) Harrell. 
    She married Ralph L. “Toby” Reef on Jan. 24, 1948, in Decatur; he passed away Sept. 16, 2009.

Ruth L. Peters

    Ruth L. Peters, 85, Decatur, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur.
    She was born Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1928, in Allen County, the daughter of the late Henry and Minnie (Oetting) Wiegmann. 
    Ruth married Melvin W. C. Peters May 7, 1949; he preceded her in death April 20, 2003.
  Ruth was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Preble, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and the LWML.  

Russell N. Jones

    Russell N. Jones, 76, Monroeville, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014, at his residence.
    He was born Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1937, in Churubusco, the son of the late Nathan and Elma (Hutchinson) Jones. 
    Russell married Jean C. Gaskill Aug. 22, 1969, in Dixon; she passed away Sept. 26, 2005.
  Russell was a member of the Moose Lodge 1311 in Decatur and Convoy Fox Hunters in Convoy, Ohio. He enjoyed trap shooting and fishing.
