Rev. Arthur B. Neuenschwander, 86, of Forest, Virginia, a former Berne resident, died Monday in Forest.
He was born in French Township of Adams County to Homer E. and Frances Gerber Neuenschwander.
Among survivors are two sons, Marc Neuenschwander of Sheridan, Indiana, and Jon Neuenschwander of Westminster, Colorado; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Peggy) Fowler of Forest; and two brothers, including Dallas Neuenschwander of Berne.
Leroy F. Walters, 77, of rural Decatur, went to his heavenly home on January 26, 2011.
Leroy was born on August 9, 1933, in Adams County to the late Forrest S. and Xariffa M. (Barkley) Walters.
He married Ruth M. Gephart on March 27, 1959; she died on February 6, 1995. He married Sherril M. Bentz on May 24, 1997, and she survives.

Eldon L. Caley, 93, formerly of Markle, passed away at 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Coventry Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne.
He was a 1935 graduate of West Union High School and a farmer for 45 years in Wells and Huntington counties.
He was Sunday School superintendent and teacher as well as a missionary chairman and an elder at Markle Church of Christ for over 30 years. He also was a former director of the Markle Cemetery Association.
Marie A. Hobrock, 89, of rural Decatur, died at 3:50 p.m. on January 19 in Adams Memorial Hospital.
She was born in New Bremen, Ohio, on April 8, 1921, to Henry and Anna Whilhelmina "Minnie" Klosterman.
Following her graduation from the eighth grade and having turned 16, Marie moved to Fort Wayne and became a housekeeper for a family for many years. This was necessary because during The Great Depression, the oldest child in many families would have to help support the family by earning an income.
Leroy F. Walters, 77, of Decatur, died today at Adams Memorial Hospital. Funeral arrangements are pending at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur.
January 25th
Jo Ella Evans, 76, of Bluffton, died at 3:30 a.m. on Monday, January 24, 2011.
She lived most of her life in Adams and Wells counties.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Thursday at First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at the church at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Wilbur “Bill” Kirchhofer, 97, a resident of Berne, passed away at 6:04 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2011, in Swiss Village Retirement Community.
Bill was born on December 21, 1913, in Adams County, the son of Amos and Emma (Huser) Kirchhofer.
He married Laura Sprunger on March 21, 1937, she preceded him in death in 2008.
Bill was a member of First Mennonite Church in Berne.
January 24th
Harold G. Clifton, 82, of Ohio City, Ohio, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday at his residence.
He was born on February 23, 1928 in Wren, Ohio to William M. and Helen R. Barnett Clifton.
He married Marilyn Kraner, who survives.
He retired from International Harvester in Fort Wayne and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Wilbur "Bill" Kirchhofer, 97, of Berne, died Sunday in Swiss Village Retirement Community.
Funeral arrangements are pendng at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne.
January 19th
Edward E. "Ed" Dick, 83, formerly of Decatur, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2011 at Swiss Village.
Ed was born on September 21, 1927, at home, just west of Monroe, to Albert and Virgil (Andrews) Dick.
He married Peggy Ann Davidson on August 28, 1954.
Ed was a lifelong farmer in Adams County and worked as an air traffic controller at Fort Wayne International Airport (Baer Field) for over 20 years. He had his pilot's license and owned two airplanes.
