Betty A. Peck, 76, of Woodburn, passed away at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, in the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne after having been ill since March.
Betty was born on Tuesday, June 9, 1936, in Elizabeth, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lyle L. Liebert and Anna (McCollum) Liebert.
She married Wayne R. Peck on April 6, 1962, in St. Paul Lutheran Church-Gar Creek; he passed away on May 24, 2000.
Anthony Jon "Tony" Liechty, 73, of Berne, died Sunday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
Among survivors are his wife, Stephanie Liechty; and daughter, Kelly Liechty of Madison, Wisconsin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.
Jerry K. Price, 76, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012, with family by his side at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston after a nearly five-month battle with leukemia.
He was born on October 10, 1935, to Roy and Margaret (Hudson) Price, in Decatur, where he remained a connected member of the community long after moving to New Orleans and later Houston.
Omer W. Sprunger, 76, of Berne, died Sunday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
Among survivors are a daughter, Suzette (Ralph) Lammlein of New Haven; stepdaughters, Gloria Thornton of Berne; Beth (Steve) Koehler of Linn Grove; and a stepson, Doug (Kim) Bauman of Monroe.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-7 p.m. at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Berne, with visitation one hour prior to services.
Irene Halikowski, 89, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Decatur, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012, at her daughter’s residence.
She was born on March 5, 1923, in Poland, to the late Andrew and Zofia Zdrada.
She married Stanislaw Halikowski; he preceded her in death in March of 1984.
She immigrated to the United States from Poland in 1951 with her husband and three of their five children. She became an American citizen on October 21, 1994.
Homer L. Inniger, 97, of Berne, died Friday in Swiss Village.
Among survivors are a daughter, Catharine (Max) Haines of Berne, and a son, Pastor Stan (Rebecca) Inniger of Fort Wayne.
Visitation will be today from 3-8 p.m. in the Swiss Village Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the chapel, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in MRE Cemetery.
Tony J. Liechty, 73, of Berne, died Sunday at Adams Memorial Hospital.

Richard C. Sweeney, 77, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday in Fort Wayne
He was born in Berne.
Survivors include a son, Michael Charles Sweeney, Fort Wayne, and a sister, Jean Cabral of Toledo, Ohio.
Private graveside services will be held Monday at the Westlawn Cemetery in Geneva.
Bonnie Lou (Phillips) Walters, 63, of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away at 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at her residence.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on April 11, 1949, to the late Frank and Thelma Myers Phillips-Seimet.
