Evelyn Justine Johnson, 87, of Shelby County, Indiana, died on Sunday, May 15, 2011, in Franklin United Methodist Community at Franklin.
Born on June 18, 1923, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Guy and Gladys McClure Strickler.
She married Joseph Meredith Johnson on November 30,1939; he preceded her in death in 2002.
Ted Swoveland, 74, of Berne, died Thursday in Chalet Village Nursing Home.
He was born to Robert and Gertrude Swoveland.
Among survivors are his wife, Shirley; a son, Bradley Swoveland of Sturgis, Michigan; a daughter, Marsha Swoveland of Pleasant Mills; three brothers, including Charles Swoveland of rural Decatur; and three sisters, including Linda Anderson of Decatur.
Edward Hockemeyer, 89, of Monroeville, died at 3:35 p.m. Saturday in The Village of Heritage nursing home in Monroeville.
He was born on August 15, 1921, in Allen County to William F. and Clara Thieme Hockemeyer.
He married Catherine M. Springer on September 17, 1944; she passed away on March 4, 2010.
He was a lifelong farmer and a member of St. John Lutheran Church (Flatrock).
Paul "Pete" Brown, 76, of Ohio City, Ohio, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in his residence.
He was born in Adams County on April 10, 1935, to Herman and Eva Clive Kreischer Brown.
He married Dorothy Fast on June 14, 1958, in Union Chapel Church of rural Decatur. She survives.
Pete retired in 1986 from International Harvester with 35 years of service and also was a Harrison Township farmer in Ohio.
Levi D.J. Schwartz, 77, of rural Berne, died Sunday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
He was born to Joe E. and Dehlia Schwartz Schwartz.
Berdella Liechty, 73, of Berne, died today in Adams Memorial Hospital.

Norman Van "Norm" Miller, 72, of Convoy, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2011. He died at Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Norm was born on March 25, 1939, in Van Wert County, Ohio. He was the son of Van and Pearl (Fisk) Miller and stepmother Helen F. Miller.
On October 31, 1964, he married Arlene Arens.
Norm was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur.
Richard A. “Dick” Roudebush, 65, of Decatur, formerly of Fort Pierce, Florida, died unexpectedly in Adams Memorial Hospital's emergency room on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
He was born on February 8, 1946, in Decatur to the late James H. Roudebush and Audrey A. (Velez) Lee.

Veda L. Edlund, 87, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, she grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota; lived most of her married life in Michigan; and moved to Indiana after the death of her husband in 1973.
She was a homemaker and educator.
While in Fort Wayne, she worked for 10 years with the Brookside-Parkerdale Association neighborhood watch.
