Vicki (Petty) Macy, 58, Linn Grove, passed away on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at Bluffton Regional Hospital. She was born in Big Springs, Texas, on Dec. 10, 1955, to the late Charles and Mary Jane LeGrand Petty. She married Bryan H. Macy on Feb. 4, 1983; he survives.
Among survivors are daughter, Lena Elliott of Orleans; granddaughter, Elvira Elliott; sister; Jenny (Tony) Hitchens of Poneto; and four brothers, Chuck (Cindy) Petty of Bluffton; Steve (Cathy) Petty of Bluffton; and Sam Petty of Bluffton; and David Petty of Ossian.
Stephen D. Cox, 30, Decatur, formerly of Germantown, Ohio, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, at the University Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born Aug. 10, 1984, in Kettering, Ohio.
Stephen touched many lives as a beloved pharmacist for Adams Memorial Hospital and in the hospital’s Anti-coagulation Clinic as well. He attended the Germantown United Methodist Church.
Jack L. Ely, 74, of Decatur, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital. Jack was born in Blackford County Oct. 23, 1939, to Francis E. and Margaret V. (Fishback) Ely. On May 23, 2003, he married Dana L. Manning; she survives.
Norene E. Reef, 63, of Decatur, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Norene was born in Decatur Dec. 15, 1950, to the late Kenneth H. and Margaret G. (Hebble) Reed.
Norene retired in 2010 after 23 years as an office manager with the City of Decatur.
Norene E. Reef, 63, Decatur, died Thursday. Arrangements are pending at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.
Stephen D. Cox, 30, Decatur, formerly of Germantown, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, at the University Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born Aug. 10, 1984, in Kettering, Ohio.
Stephen was a pharmacist for Adams Memorial Hospital and attended the Germantown United Methodist Church.
Roy Oscar Girod, Columbus, Ohio, died Thursday Sept. 25, 2014.
A memorial service was held in Columbus on Oct. 4, 2014. Final internment is to be held at The Columbarium at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland at a date to be determined.

Lloyd Francis Lichtenberger went to be with Jesus Monday, Oct. 13, 2014. He married Lorena Nussbaum April 7, 1951. They were married 58 years before she passed away in November of 2009.
They were blessed with five children, Sandra (Craig) Mountz of Brentwood, Tenn.; Rick Lichtenberger of Decatur; Kathy Keller of Grand Rapids, Minn.; Deb (Daniel) Abnet of Berne; and Tom (Ruth) Lichtenberger of Fort Wayne. He enjoyed his 12 grandchildren and13 great-grandchildren.
Jerry “Hoss” Parker, 68, Monroeville, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at Riverbend Healthcare in Fort Wayne.
Among survivors are his two brothers, Larry (Janet) Parker of Decatur and Jan Parker of Monroeville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, in Monroeville. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Homer Melching, 87, Bluffton, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton. He was born in Wells County on March 9, 1927, to the late Frank and Verna Melching. Homer married Lois V. “Ginger” Kleinknight on July 26, 1953; she preceded him in death on April 30, 2012.
Among survivors are one grandson, Brett (Jamie) Melching of Monroe; one granddaughter, Tori Melching of Bluffton; one great-grandson, Trace Melching; and a sister, Nina Meyer of North Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
