    Noble William "Bill" Comment, 73, Monroeville, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in the Parkview Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
    He was born Thursday, May 16, 1940, in Adams County, the son of the late Noble "Cobe" and Cecil (Burkhead) Comment Sr. 
    Bill married Lucille F. Sorg August 12, 1961, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel; she survives.

    Alfred Conrad, 79, Decatur, died this morning at his residence.
    Arrangements are pending at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home.

William S. Schwartz

    William S. Schwartz, 46, Geneva, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
    He was born March 23, 1968, in Jay County, to the late Daniel I. Schwartz and Lizzie W. (Schmucker) Schwartz.
    He married Maryann U. Schwartz June 5 1986; she survives.
    William was an Old Order Amish and was self-employed as a carpenter.

    Verna Sprunger, 89, Berne passed away Thursday evening, at Adams Memorial Hospital.
    Arrangements are pending at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home.

Lehnford L. Bohnke

April 15, 2014

    Lehnford L. “Bud” Bohnke, 78, Decatur, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
    He was born Sept. 27, 1935, in Decatur, to the late Herman and Louise (Bienz) Bohnke.
    Bud was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church-Fuelling and a member of the D.H.I.A. Dairy Association. He sold and produced milk for Allen Dairy, which became Prairie Farms Dairy, for more 50 years.

Lucy N. Filips

    Lucy N. (Baker) Filips, 91, Orlando, Fla., Formerly of Decatur, passed away April 11, 2014, at her daughter’s residence in Orlando.
    Lucy was born Thursday, July 6, 1922,  in Adams County to the late Fred E. and Amelia R. (Kohne) Baker.
    She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and was an active volunteer at church. Lucy was employed and volunteered at Adams Memorial Hospital for many years.

    Kae Linnet Sprunger, 76, Berne, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Swiss Village.
    She was born to Vincent and Miriam (Yeoman) Sprunger Sept. 11, 1937, in Adams County.
    Surviving are Jon Garth Sprunger of Leonidas, Mich.; Michael (Carolyn) Sprunger of Linn Grove; Alice Coblentz of Berne; Eric (Jean) Sprunger of Berne; Rebecca Sprunger of New York; and Jared (Jerri Hoffman) Sprunger of Fort Wayne.

    Larry H. Butler Sr., 72, Decatur, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at his residence.
    He was born Sept. 14, 1941, in Allen County, to the late Robert B. and Betty M. (Fair) Butler.
    Larry worked for waste management for 10 years and was a truck driver for Don Ray Drive Away for 25 years. He served his country in U.S. Army in the 54th Infantry. He was stationed in Korea. He had a lifetime membership at the V.F.W.

Roger G. Haessig

April 9, 2014

    Roger G. Haessig, 73, Syracuse, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at his residence. He had previously resided in Berne and Milan.
    He was born Thursday, June 13, 1940, in Milan, the son of the late Loren H. and Alma D. (Roberts) Haessig.
    Roger married Ellamae Speakman August 21, 1965, in Union Chapel United Methodist Church in rural Decatur; she survives.
    Roger was a member of Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene in Berne, where he had served as treasurer and Sunday school secretary.
